Dear
Parents/ Guardians,
Greetings!
For months now, our country has
been stricken by both man-made and natural calamities. Thousands of our fellow
Zamboangueños were victims to the standoff which left a number of them
homeless. To date, there are still families in several evacuation centers.
The death toll left in the wake
of super typhoon Yolanda is estimated to reach thousands. Numerous families
have been displaced and have nowhere to go as their homes are now in rubbles.
Thousands, too, have survived the calamity yet they now face another fear:
starvation. The earthquake victims in Bohol are likewise crying for help as
they try to recover from the catastrophe.
Much has been said about what
happened in Visayas and the Zamboanga siege. Numbers and statistics have left
us numb with grief and we cannot help but be overwhelmed by the gravity of the
recent disasters. Grieve if we must, but in times like this, there is only one
thing left for us to do: to extend help
in whatever way we can.
As such, The Zamboanga Chong Hua
High School Student Council will be launching the OPLAN AYUDA 2013 to gather relief goods for the affected areas. We
highly encouraged everyone to donate, in cash or in kind, whatever you can.
Suggested donations are as follows: bottled water, canned goods, biscuits, food
that are easy to consume and don’t need to be heated, used clothes, blankets,
basic medicines, used tarpaulins, and footwear. Donations will be accepted
until December 6, 2013.

一年一度普天同慶的聖誕節即將來臨，願聖誕節的氣氛，帶給每個人和祥與希望。今年菲律賓遭到一連串的災難，讓住在菲律賓的我們身心受到煎熬。我市与叛亂摩解份子的戰爭，武運省的地震，獨魯萬的超強颱風，損失慘重，很多災民流利失所，陷入困境，生活得不到改善。
本學生自治會將一如既往，繼續推動2013年愛心輸送，把快樂和溫暖送給無依的孤兒、貧童及遭到暴亂無家可歸的災民，讓他們照樣分享到聖誕節的快樂氣氛。請各位家長/監護人能支持我們的行動，雪中送炭，捐獻任何日常用品、如白米、瓶裝礦泉水、罐頭食品、方便麵、西藥、基本藥物舊衣服、舊玩具、舊鞋、拖鞋、被子、洗衣粉及旧喷绘油布（tarpaulins）等。我們會將收到的救濟品包裝分送給需要的人。2013年愛心輸送活動將於十二月六日截止。
